
Gadsden Reads Schedule of Events:
- Pole Frogs are for sale online for $130, more than half are sold..."they are going faster than a frog in a blender" buy online at www.gadsdenreads.org scroll down to view the map below and click on the "Pole Frogs For Sale" link.
- July 7 through 31 - Make a Frog, Take a Frog in the Hardin Center Main Exhibition Hall
- July 13 – Lynnette Hesser at the Hardin Center at 10 am to lead a children’s frog drawing program.
- July 20 – Lynnette Hesser at the Hardin Center at 5:30 pm for a clay frog hand building class for teens and adults.
- July 27 – 5:30 pm, Mario Gallardo, GSCC art instructor, leads a session on Raku firing.
- First Friday August (6) - all pole frogs up, and display of 10 larger art frogs painted by 10 AL artists, including one by Rick Bragg
- Friday, August 13 - Annual Charity Auction, 10 Art Frogs included
- First Friday September (3) - AL Year of Small Towns and Downtowns, The Great AL Homecoming Official Event with unveiling of a plaque followed by Rick Bragg speaking from the City Hall Gazebo). F(r)oggy Hollow Band starts at 4:00 with fun and games. Bring a lawnchair. Plaque unveiling at 5 followed by Rick Bragg speaking (after which he will be available to sign books and hug necks). This event is proudly sponsored by Gadsden's 4th Street Chick-Fil-A and the Gadsden Mall Chick-Fil-A.
- Tuesday, September 7 – “Lunch n’ Learn” Brown Bag Lunch with Mike Goodson and Glenda Byers at Gadsden Public Library at noon.
- Tuesday, September 14 - Ambassadors visit UA and visit with Rick Bragg
- Thursday, September 16 – Dr. Don Nobel, brown bag lunch discussion at noon at the Hardin Center.
- Thursday, September 23 – Mike Goodson and Glenda Byers at Nichols Library 6 PM
- First Friday, October 1st – Movie of a princess and a frog shown outdoors either on lawn of City Hall or Amphitheater (7:30 movie)
- Thursday, October 7th - Rick Bragg Day - student and public lecture at Wallace Hall 10am (reservations made with IP

- Tuesday, October 12 – Noon Brown Bag Book Discussion “Lunch n’ Learn, Ava’s Grandson: The Works of Rick Bragg” at Gadsden Public Library
- Daniel Dancer Art for the Sky project – Nov 1-3 at Gadsden State
